Welcome to Realmweaver. These terms govern your use of our platform at realmweaver.io ("the Service"), operated by Realmweaver, LLC ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account, you agree to these terms.
1. What Realmweaver Is
Realmweaver is an AI-powered creative tool for world-building, story development, and collaborative writing. We provide guided sessions, a wiki system, writing tools, and export features to help you build and organize fictional worlds.
2. Your Account
You must be at least 13 years old to use Realmweaver. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person — don't share accounts.
3. Your Content and Intellectual Property
This is the most important section:
You own everything you create. All worlds, characters, stories, wiki entries, writings, and exported documents you create using Realmweaver are your intellectual property. We claim no ownership over your creative work.
We never use your content to train AI models. Your worlds, sessions, and writings are processed by our AI partner (Anthropic's Claude) solely to provide the service. Neither we nor Anthropic use your content to train or improve AI models. See Anthropic's API data policy for details.
We need a limited license to operate. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. This means we can show you your wiki, run your sessions, and generate your exports. We will never sell, share, or use your content for any other purpose.
You can take your content and leave anytime. We provide export tools so you can download your entire world as PDF, Markdown, or Word files at any time. If you delete your account, we delete your content within 30 days.
Publishing is always your choice. Some features let you publish parts of your world to a public web page (for example, a shared world page or a campaign recap page for your players). Nothing is ever published without your explicit action, and you can unpublish at any time.
4. Acceptable Use
Don't use Realmweaver to:
- Create content that exploits or harms minors
- Upload content you don't have the right to use
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
- Use automated tools to access the Service (bots, scrapers)
- Resell access to the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Copyright complaints: If you believe content on Realmweaver infringes your copyright, email support@realmweaver.io with the details and we will review and remove infringing content promptly.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
- Free trial: New accounts begin with a 3-day free trial of the Artisan plan. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You will not be charged during the 3-day trial period.
- Automatic conversion: Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your trial automatically converts to a paid Artisan subscription at $12 per month (plus applicable taxes), and your payment method is charged at that time and monthly thereafter until you cancel.
- How to cancel: You can cancel at any time, including during the trial, in one step from your account Settings (which opens the Stripe billing portal). If you cancel during the trial you will not be charged. We send a reminder email before your trial ends.
- After cancellation: If you cancel or your subscription ends, your account remains active in a read-only state: your worlds and content stay intact and you can export them at any time, but AI features (sessions, Quill, consistency checks, imports, and the creative workspaces) require an active subscription. You can subscribe again at any time to restore full access. Paid features remain active until the end of any period you have already paid for.
- Free accounts (Wanderer tier) have usage limits as described on our pricing page
- Paid subscriptions (Artisan, Architect, and Novelist tiers) are billed monthly through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
- AI usage on every tier is measured in Ink, a usage allowance that refreshes monthly; allowances per tier are described on the pricing page
- We also offer one-time purchases through Stripe (such as Ink top-ups and add-ons); these are charged once and do not renew
- Refunds: The trial period is your opportunity to evaluate a paid plan at no charge. If you are charged and are not satisfied within 7 days of that charge, contact us for a full refund
- Founding Member pricing is locked in for the lifetime of your continuous subscription — if you cancel and resubscribe, standard pricing applies
- We may change pricing for new subscribers with 30 days notice, but your existing rate is locked in
6. AI-Generated Content
- Our AI provides suggestions, coaching, and co-writing assistance based on your input and your world's context
- AI outputs may occasionally contain errors, inconsistencies, or unexpected content — use your creative judgment
- You are responsible for reviewing and approving any content generated during sessions before considering it final
- AI-generated content created through your sessions belongs to you, same as any other content you create on the platform
7. Service Availability
- We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee 100% uptime, especially during our beta period
- We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice when possible
- We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your settings page. We can terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, you can export your data before deletion. We delete your content within 30 days of account closure.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States.
